Get to know your stylist: Tabitha

I sat down with Tabitha to talk about what makes her stand out as a stylist, and her life outside of the salon!
Q: What inspired you to become a stylist?
A: After working the front desk at the Fairhope Salon, I watched people come into the salon feeling bleh and watched them leave feeling beautiful. I was eager to work my way into a service provider position. I love boosting my client's confidence and making them feel happy with themselves!
Q: How do you stay up to date with the latest hair styles and trends?
A: I love using social media to learn new things and see what’s popular, but I don’t focus on trends. I love customizing my cuts and colors based on my clients goals, personalities, facial features, and at-home routines. Everyone I meet needs something different, and my service style totally caters to that.
Q: What's your favorite way to pamper yourself at home?

A: With two young kids, it’s hard to find the time for self care, but I do my best by taking long showers so I can do my hair masks and full skincare routine. I love to get a good night’s sleep! The best is when we get a day at the salon to do each other’s hair and hang out. Mainly my self care revolves around maintaining my nails and hair and cooking healthy meals for my family.

Q: Love that you make time to cook! What's your go-to meal at the moment?

A: Chicken alfredo. Homemade sauce. Angel Hair pasta. Grilled chicken. Oh my gosh it’s too good.

Q: What's your favorite holiday?

A: Halloween!! Anyone who knows me knows I love everything Halloween. I love decorating my house for anything, but Halloween is by far my favorite. And I love dressing up with my family and trick or treating!

Q: What's your availability like in the salon?

A: I'm here Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. I spend my weekends with my family, and I pick up my kids from school so I base my schedule around that.

Q: Speaking of weekends, what do you like to do with your time off?

A: I spend my weekends with my family and friends. There is always a birthday party, playdate, brunch, or dinner happening… and sometimes a several of them in one weekend! I love it.

Q: What is your number one piece of advice for someone on their hair journey?

A: ALWAYS use a good heat/environmental protector after washing your hair. It will do wonders for the health and integrity of your hair, and it makes us stylists so proud!
